LONGMONT, CO, November 11, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robin R. Birdsall, Owner of Birdsall Graphics & Web Design, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Custom Graphics & Web Design. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.
With 24 years of experience as a professional graphic designer, Robin R. Birdsall is known as a facilitator of cost-effective, quality-driven production. She specializes in graphic web design, technical illustration, marketing and advertising, and now brings her multifarious talents to her own eponymous graphics and web design company. At the helm of the organization since 2000, Ms. Birdsall excels at producing real estate advertisements, photography logos, CD covers and posters, as well as representing clients through professional advertising and multimedia marketing.
In addition to managing her own successful business, Ms. Birdsall functions as a senior graphic designer for Covidien, where she is charged with creating graphics for branding development, product labels and manuals, and advertising. She previously lent her talents to 3t Systems, Ball Aerospace, Gardner Signs, Icelandic Design, National Semiconductor, and StorageTek. She held the positions of graphic artist, graphic designer, studio assistant, web master and senior technical illustrator in these companies. Presently, Ms. Birdsall holds government-issued, top-security clearance proficiencies in such programs as CAD/CAM systems, SolidWorks, ProEngineer on Silicon Graphics Interface, GraphTek and Applicon, to name only a few.
Also an experienced teacher, Ms. Birdsall taught high school students for 13 years and continues to conduct classes in website design at The DaVinci Institute, a nonprofit futurist think tank. She credits the success that she has enjoyed in various stages of her career to her positive attitude, perseverance and customer service skills, and to the lasting influence of her father Robert Johnson, who was a draftsman for the aircraft industry.
Ms. Birdsall earned an associate degree in advertising in 1982 from the Colorado Institute of Art (now the Art Institute of Colorado) and completed training in drafting in 1985 at the North American School of Drafting. She also obtained a certificate of professional development from Regis University and attended the University of Northern Colorado. She volunteers regularly in her local youth group. As she advances in her career, Ms. Birdsall looks forward to developing her business and expanding her client base.
